Individuals & couples · Clinical hypnotherapy · Online via Zoom

Sex and relationships therapy that feels human, practical, and private.

For you on your own, or the two of you together. If intimacy has gone quiet, sex has started to feel like a test, or there's something you've been meaning to say, we can work on it. I've been doing this for over 25 years.

Common reasons people get in touch

What people usually come with

You don't have to match a label. If one of these sounds familiar, you're in the right place. If yours isn't on the list, ask anyway.

Desire

Desire & mismatched libidos

When wanting sex has faded, or the two of you want it at different times, and that gap has started to feel like a verdict on the relationship. It usually isn't.

Pressure

Performance pressure & overthinking

When sex feels like a test you're being marked on. Part of you is in the experience, and part of you is watching, worrying whether it's going to work.

Closeness

When touch has stopped

Couples who still care about each other, and have stopped reaching out. A hug started to mean "this might lead somewhere", so the hug stopped too.

With a partner

Fine alone, stuck with a partner

Everything works in private. Add another person and it switches off, or rushes, or won't finish. That usually points to anxiety, not a faulty body.

Men's sexual health

Erections, timing & orgasm

Erectile difficulties, coming too quickly, or difficulty reaching orgasm. There's a separate page for that work, and it sits inside this one.

Talking

Having the conversation

Breaking a long silence about sex without it turning into a blame game. The worst time is straight after a night that went badly. We can find a better one.

Individuals and couples

On your own, or the two of you together.

Plenty of people start on their own. You don't have to turn up as a couple, and you don't have to be equally keen. One of you can begin, and the other can join later if and when that makes sense.

When you do come together, both of you are in the room for the bits that need both of you. Nobody has to perform being "the problem", and nobody has to sit there as the audience.

If what you're dealing with is more specifically about erections, timing, or orgasm, have a look at men's sexual health as well. We can start on either page.

How we work

What to expect, including what it costs.

We start with a free call. You tell me what's going on, as much or as little as you like, and we both decide if I'm the right person. Two lines is a full first message. "I'd like to talk about my sex life" is enough.

After that it's £80 a session, or four for £280, on Zoom. Sometimes I'll give you something small to try between sessions, because that usually makes the next one more useful. Fees are on the booking and prices page. If you're a student or money is tight, ask.

I'm not a medical clinic, and I can't promise an outcome. If there's pain, or something has changed suddenly in your body, see your GP or a sexual health clinic first. Therapy can run alongside that. It doesn't replace it.

Questions people ask

Tap a question to open the answer. If yours isn't listed, the first call is still the right place to ask.

What can you help with?

Low desire, sex that feels like a test, mismatched libidos, avoiding sex or touch, erection and ejaculation problems, trouble coming, and the things that are hard to say out loud. If it's not on the list, ask.

Is it confidential?

Yes. What you tell me stays with me. The only exceptions are the legal and safeguarding ones on the confidentiality page.

Do I have to explain everything first?

No. Two lines is plenty. "I'd like to talk about my sex life" is a full message. We'll take it from there on the call.

Do we have to come as a couple?

No. You can start on your own. A partner can join later, or not. You don't have to be equally keen to begin.

Start simply

You don't need the perfect way to say it.

Book a free call, or send a couple of lines. We'll have a private conversation and see whether this is the work you want to do.

What working on this is actually like

People often expect this kind of therapy to be heavy going, or embarrassing from the first minute. It usually isn't. We talk, we get curious, and we look at what switches on at the time: the watching, the old story, the silence that's gone on so long it feels rude to break.

Clinical hypnotherapy is how I get at the bit a sensible conversation in daylight doesn't always reach. We don't do it by telling you to relax. That's just another test.

You should leave with something you can use, not feeling wrung out. If you're a couple, both of you can be in the session, or one of you can start.

If you'd like the wider picture of who I am, that's on the about page. If you already know you want to talk, the first call is free.
